Alexandra Nousia

Assistant Professor (F)

Alexandra Nousia is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, University of Ioannina. She specializes in the Education and Care of Infants and Toddlers. She is a graduate of the two-year Postgraduate Program of the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly and a PhD graduate of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Ioannina. She has many years of teaching experience in undergraduate programs at the University of Ioannina, in secondary education and in post-secondary education schools. During her professional career, she has worked in preschool settings as an early childhood educator, having as main subject the education and care of infants and toddlers. In 2013 she attended an Infant Massage seminar from the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) where she was certified as an instructor.

Her research interest focuses on the early education and healthy development of children, using music education, the arts as a whole, and play as basic means of education, expression and development in early childhood. She has published scientific articles in National and International journals, has presented her scientific work in International, European and National conferences and has write a book.
